Random Advice of the Week
Throughout high school, college, the job world, and life as a whole, we are constantly presented with situations where we attempt to be someone we're not. This is done to impress others, attract attention, fit in where we don't, or make people happy. However, as many of us have found, this rarely improves our situation and many times makes things worse than if we had just been ourselves the whole time. So my advice is to just be yourself and not some other jacker. I say, be yourself and if they don't like you, then boo hoo on them. What's the alternative? Be fake around them so they like you, and the whole time they like the fake you, not even the real you. Plus, you have to continue to modify your life, your appearance, your attitude, and your decisions just to keep them happy. But if you're yourself and if they do like you, which I'm sure they will, unless they're a real jerk or a cry baby...you don't have any friends! (Reference to Nada Surf's song 'Popular') Anyway, if they do like you, then they'll be liking YOU, not some other jacker.
